HOW IT ALL BEGAN Automobiles have always been a major part of the Cook family's lives. It was Lyle Cook's love of automobiles that led him to open an automotive supply shop in 1927 called Star Battery and Ignition at 71 Ross St after many years of working on the railroad. When he met and married Belva Lewis. a life-long resident. he founded Star Battery and Ignition.
