About Seller The Toronto Humane Society's mission statement is to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and to prevent cruelty and suffering.The Society has a modern facility that houses its shelter, clinic and administrative offices. Technological advances such as computerized record-keeping, microchip pet identification and rapid-fire telecommunications systems have enhanced the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of shelter operations. The Society operates as an independent not-for-profit organization supported by donors and members. The THS does not receive government funding.The Society provides a desperately needed adoption facility and haven for injured and abandoned animals in the City of Toronto. The injured receive veterinary care, and abandoned animals are given a safe haven 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
